Details
To the east of Kuakata beach, beyond the Ganges-Moti forest, there is Crab Island. This place is inhabited by red crabs. It can be mistaken to assume that there are red carpet leaves on the beach when one see a herd of red crabs from a distance in a secluded environment. During the travel season (October-March) speed boats can be taken from Kuakata beach to Crab Island.
