Details

Mia Bari Mosque situated at Ranipur area of Dawly Subidkhali union under Mirzaganj Upazilla of this district. It is also known as Chowdhary Bari Mosque among local people. Nothing is known about the founder or time of establishment of this mosque. But it is assumed that the mosque was established in mid 19th Century. The mosque is situated on 2424 square feet area having a big dome on its top. Four minaret or towers are situated at four corners of the mosque and four more small domes on top of the mosque. There are eight small minaret towers around the big dome. The decoration inscribed on inner and outer wall of the mosque has increased its beauty. The mosque has three doors for entry. Semi Circle decoration on top of these gates give a unique feature to this mosque. The Mia Bari Mosque, a historic monument is a place for scenic beauty and recreation for the viewers are travelers.
