Details
Sheema Buddhist Temple is situated in front of ancient well of Kuakata. By breaking the wooden temple, a brick built temple was made a few years ago. Still the statue of the Buddhu made of metal and about 37 ton weight is placed in the temple. The temple was damaged in cyclone Ayla in 2009 and cyclone Sidar in 2007. The temple has been reconstructed with the co-operation of German embassy.
