Details
Sonar Char, the home of eyecatching beauty, is located at Rangabali upazilla of Patuakhali district on the bank of the Bay of Bengal. It is a long sea beach of 7 km width including woodland. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh declared this protected woodland as sanctuary for wild animals. The present Government as well as NGOs are taking multifarious initiatives to make it a world-class tourist spot. If these steps are implemented, Sonar Char will be one of the most attractive world class tourist spot in the southern region.
